Carolyn Braden: Stain Equals Shibori Art!

I had a paint stain on my shirt that would not come out. When I used a stain remover, it bleached it. I had two choices; fix it or use it as a rag. I decided to fix it and seized an art opportunity. I used a shibori dye process and created a new shirt. I used a Procion fabric dye from Dharma Trading. The shirt was a light blue so I used a sapphire blue to compliment it. The photo doesn't give justice to the end result. It is more beautiful than it was when I bought it. The original stain turned out to be a happy accident.

Simple Neutral Nails: Good or Bad Fall '13 Trend?

I'm trying the neutral nail that is the next "big" trend in nails. While I like the versatility of a simple neutral nail, I had to add some flair. With only putting the design on one nail, it still keeps it simple.

Sephora Inspired: Pinterest #nailart pin

Here is my version of Sephora's Shades of Spring nail art. I used gel polishes so my mani would last through all the clay projects I am teaching right now.
