Carolyn Braden's Creative #hair #fishbone #style

Here is a creative fishbone hairstyle I created for a night at the ballet. I wanted a little height so I teased the front and pinned it back before creating the fishbone braid.

Carolyn Braden Loves Braids and Bows

This style was posted on www.myglam.com. The ballerina bun is something I've done and so is the french braid. But together......genius! The bow just ups the cute factor!

Easy Summer Braid Style

I did a side braid that wrapped around my head. I pulled the other side back and twisted it all together in a small bun. I'm experimenting with styles that will prevent me from getting sick of long hair and chop it off. Braiding keeps it off my neck and keeps me cool in this hot summer-like heat.

Carolyn Braden says "New Bridal Bouquet Trend"

A friend of mine was a photographer at a wedding recently and the bride's bouquet should have had it's own photo shoot. She made the bouquet out of vintage flower pins. The base was styrofoam. This bouquet is one that will last forever!

Carolyn Braden's Side Braid/Bun Wedding Hairstyle

My stylist's friend was able to duplicate exactly what I explained. I wanted my hair out of my face for my bridesmaid duties over the weekend. I wanted it fun and not too formal. I have almost shoulder length hair but it all went up perfectly. Love it! She did a four strand braid on each side of my head that looked like a pretty weaving. That's what I call hair art.

And the style stayed put all night....
even through all my vogue-ing!

Carolyn Braden's CND Shellac French Manicure

Super easy to do! I just put 2 coats of Negligee (2 minute cure in between each coat of course), one coat of Cream Puff on the tips, and one more coat of Negligee. Don't forget the base and top coat! I used gold glitter (regular polish) along the white nail tip. These will work great for the wedding I'm in on Saturday!

Carolyn Braden's Wedding Flowers for Hair

I am in a wedding this summer and the bride purchased silk flower hair clips from Icing, a costume jewelry accessory store. After seeing flowers on Tarina Tarantino's website (my absolute favorite jewelry designer) the bride gave the inexpensive flower clips to me to "bling" them up like flowers clips on Tarina's site. Tarina's flower clips are gorgeous but when you are on a bridal budget, buying a clip for every girl in your wedding can be pricy. All I did to the flowers from Icing was trim them up (some petals were fraying) and take off the existing crystals. To match the wedding jewelry and dresses we will wear, I added flat back pearls and clear, crystal, flat back Swarovski crystals. I used Aleene's Jewel-It, an embellishing glue, and a pair of tweezers to attach the crystals and pearls.
Although the project took some time (I go slow for perfect craftsmanship) the result was well worth it! Tarina's flower clips run $38.00 and up. I managed to make these clips for under $10.00 each.
