Garnier Skin Renew B.B. Cream, Yes Please!

Not wanting to waste money on a possibility I might like B.B. Cream, I decided to try Garnier's version. I instantly fell in love. It did not irritate my skin and left it glowing.....seriously! I now use it as part of my daily regime, putting it on after my moisturizer and before my Too Faced skin primer. Most use B.B. Cream as their primer but I like using it to conceal reddneds and even out my skin tone. The separate primer combined makes my makeup last for hours. When I am just puttering around the house or working out, B.B. Cream is a great option when you don't need makeup but want a little coverage. I use Light/Medium and my mom uses Medium/Dark. I really love the fact that this product doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

Airbrush Tanning At Home.....worth it or not?

After deciding our spray tans at SunTan City were a bit expensive, we researched spray tanning at home. Many blogs and websites later, we chose Kahuna Bay spray tan formula in Kahuna Melange. We set up a booth in our basement with tarps, bought a paint airbrush from a home building supplier and we already had an air compressor. Since Kahuna Melange had bronzer already in it, we knew we didn't need bronzer drops. We coated our ankles, palms, toes and fingers with a scent free lotion to avoid super brown extremities. After about one hour of making sure we didn't miss any body parts, we waited and hoped for the best. We are now on day three and our tan is still present without streaks and we do not look like oompa loompas. We ordered the trial kit of original, dark and extra dark. I am liking the original. Being naturally fair skinned, I don't think I would want to go darker. I am going to try the darker colors on my mom, as she is darker complected, and see how those look. The VersaSpa formula at SunTan City always seems to vary in how good it looks. Lately it's worn off my skin in two days. After trying Kahuna Melange, I think my husband and I are going to stick with it and say farewell to SunTan City. Saving money and still looking good is always in style in my mind.

Yet Another Deal Found @tjmaxx

Sam Edelman boot and Minnetonka tassel sandals, keep the deals coming @tjmaxx! When I was there, I actually heard the term Maxxinista used and I laughed. I think that word is a staple in the good fashion deal world.

VS.....It is no secret they have great fashion!

I recently made a spring fashion purchase from Victoria's Secret. The sandals earned me many compliments the very first day I wore them. I'm waiting on my t-shirt dress to be shipped because it was on back order. I guess the good word is out if they are already selling out of spring and summer fashion.

Sally Hansen Nail Stickers on Toes

I've blogged about Sally Hansen's nail stickers in the past and I'm still loving them. This time I put them on my toes. It was easy and they look so pretty.

Rock and Republic and More....What Store? Read For More!

Kohl's now sells Rock and Republic and I'm now a Kohl's customer. I've wanted a pair of red cropped jeans for a while now but every pair I came across was always either too long (I'm a shorty!) or too low rise (I am a woman that actually has some curves and HATE the muffin top look). I knew Kohl's had the collections of Lauren Conrad, Jennifer Lopez, Elle, Vera Wang and more so when they added Rock and Republic, I knew it was time to stop by. Since it seems Kohl's always has a sale going on, the clothing prices are easy on the wallet. After trying on and loving the R and R jeans, I tried on some pieces from the LC collection. My entire purchase was discounted as every clothing item I chose was on sale. My spring wardrobe is looking good and I will be stopping by Kohl's again in the near future. I know this not only because I also received Kohl's cash...$20.00 to spend on anything, no minimum purchase required. Gotta love free money!

Carolyn Braden: Are Redheads Overlooked When It Comes To Beautiful Brows?

I headed to my local Clinique counter a couple of weeks ago and left empty handed and sad. Why? Because I felt I was discriminated against because I'm a redhead. Clinique discontinued their brow liner in Soft Auburn and I really didn't understand why. It truly made me think, are redheads getting the shaft in the major cosmetic brands? To do a little research, I went to Sephora's website and did a search for "Auburn brow liner." I was shocked to discover only a couple of brands had a brow liner for redheads. Since I can't buy the Clinique liner anymore, I visited Sephora to purchase Lorac's brand. I then went to Meier's and found Maybelline has a new line that includes an Auburn shade. A week later, I was reading March 2012 InStyle magazine and they listed Paula Dorf as a line with an Auburn brow tint. My conclusion? Clinique did a silly thing. I believe the makeup industry is realizing that many people have red hair. Many people are even dying their hair red and keeping it that color for good. (Christina Hendricks!) Clinique was on top of the game and now with this move, I believe they've fallen off the ginger train. Thank you to all the cosmetic brands that don't discriminate against redheads. I hope many other brands will follow suit.
